Air Pollutant Emission Inventory of Marine in China

Brief Introduction

Based on the research results at home and abroad and the basic situation of the shipping industry in China, this study establishes a method for measuring the emission inventory of inland waterway vessels, and develops a high-precision and high spatial and temporal resolution method for measuring the emissions of coastal and ocean-going vessels.

Based on the Technical Guidelines for the Preparation of Air Pollutants from Non-road Mobile Sources (for Trial Implementation), the emission inventories of inland waterway vessels in China and the Bohai Rim region were calculated based on the passenger and cargo turnover of vessels. Combining the ship speed in the AIS data, the ship type, main engine power and auxiliary engine power in the Lloyd's Register database, the navigation status, main engine power, main engine load factor, auxiliary engine power, auxiliary engine load power, boiler power and emission factors, the emission inventories of coastal and ocean-going ships in China and the Bohai Rim were calculated.
